1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Planet XO website and its general content. Please read them alongside our privacy information and any specific terms provided for a station, competition, advertising agreement or other service. They do not replace a separate agreement you have with a network or affect your statutory rights.
Planet XO is the shared network and trading brand used by the independent partner networks. Planet XO is not a separately incorporated company and has no company registration number of its own. Company registration details belong to the individual legal entities operating under the brand.
2. Our two independent partner networks
Planet XO is the shared umbrella brand connecting XO Radio LTD and QT FM Studios. The two networks operate independently and manage their own stations, advertising, recruitment and commercial arrangements. Shared branding does not, by itself, create a joint contract or make either network the operator of the other network’s services.

XO Radio LTD operates its network under the shared Planet XO brand. The XO Radio LTD network includes:
- XO Radio — North West.
- Blast Radio — Yorkshire & Humber.
- Every Radio — East of England.
- Beats Radio — London.
- Numb Radio — UK-wide 80s radio.
QT FM Studios
The QT FM Studios network includes:
- QT FM
- QT FM Gold
- QT FM Mix
- QT FM Hits
The relevant operator must be identified when you book advertising, enter a competition, apply for a role or purchase a service. Please check that information before proceeding. Nothing in these terms removes any responsibility that an organisation has under applicable law.
3. Listening and service availability
You may listen through the websites, players, apps and devices made available or authorised by the relevant station. Streaming requires a suitable internet connection; your internet or mobile provider may charge for data.
Programmes, presenters, schedules and listening methods may change. Streams and websites may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults or circumstances outside the operator’s reasonable control. Each operator will take reasonable care with the services it provides, but continuous availability cannot be guaranteed.
Where listening is available through YouTube, Twitch, Alexa, Fire TV, Roku or another third-party platform, that platform’s own terms, account requirements and privacy arrangements also apply. Availability can vary by station, device and location.
4. Using our website responsibly
Please use the website lawfully. You must not deliberately disrupt its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, or use our services to send unlawful, threatening or harassing material.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those websites are managed by their own operators. A link does not automatically mean that Planet XO or either network endorses all of that website’s content.
5. Copyright and station content
Website text, artwork, logos, recordings, broadcasts and other material may belong to the relevant network, contributors or third-party rights holders. You may access content for your personal use and use it in other ways permitted by law or an applicable licence.
You must obtain any necessary permission before reproducing, commercially exploiting, redistributing or publicly rebroadcasting protected content. Listening to a stream does not grant a public performance or commercial broadcasting licence.
6. Requests, messages and contributions
Submitting a request or message does not guarantee that it will be read, broadcast or published. The relevant station makes editorial decisions about its programming.
Only submit material you are entitled to share. Do not include another person’s private information without a lawful basis. Where you send a contribution specifically for broadcast or publication, you permit the relevant station to use and reasonably edit it for that stated purpose. Any wider promotional use should be explained or agreed separately.
Personal information supplied with a contribution is handled according to the relevant operator’s privacy information.
7. Advertising and commercial enquiries
Each network manages its own advertising and commercial agreements. An enquiry through Planet XO is not an advertising booking or a guarantee of airtime.
A booking should be confirmed with the relevant network in a separate agreement setting out the contracting party, campaign, price, payment arrangements, approval process and any cancellation terms. Advertising claims and supplied material must comply with applicable law and the standards relevant to the service.
8. Competitions and promotions
Individual competitions have their own published rules. These should identify the organiser, eligibility requirements, entry method, opening and closing dates, prize details and how a winner is selected and contacted.
Please read those rules before entering. A competition promoted on the shared website may be run by just one network or by another named organiser. These general website terms do not replace the competition rules or your legal rights.
9. Careers and volunteering
Recruitment is handled by the network named in the vacancy. Each listing should explain whether a role is paid, voluntary, freelance or another arrangement, together with any relevant requirements.
Applying through a Planet XO page does not create employment, a volunteering agreement or an offer of work. Any offer and its terms will come from the relevant organisation. Application information is handled under the privacy information provided for that recruitment process.
10. Privacy and cookies
Please read our privacy information to understand how information is collected and used. Partner networks and external platforms may have separate privacy notices.
Visiting this website does not, by itself, constitute consent to optional cookies or unrelated marketing. Where consent is required, it must be requested separately.
11. Responsibility and your legal rights
Each operator remains responsible for its own services and obligations under applicable law. We aim to provide accurate information and will take reasonable care when maintaining the website. Please let us know if you find an error.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your applicable consumer rights and other mandatory legal protections remain unaffected.
12. Updates to these terms
We may update these website terms to reflect changes to the site, services or legal requirements. The date above identifies the current version. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing separate contract; any changes to that contract must follow its agreed terms and applicable law.

For website questions or to report an error, use our contact page. For a station, programme, advertising, recruitment or competition enquiry, include the station name so your enquiry can reach the relevant network.
If you wish to make a complaint, explain what happened, when it occurred and which station or service was involved. The organisation responsible for that service should provide information about its applicable complaints process and any further routes available to you.
