Thrigby Hall - New Tiger

Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens Welcomes Lotte, a Beautiful Sumatran Tiger

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Lotte, a stunning 3-year-old Sumatran tiger, at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens!

Lotte made the journey from Berlin Zoo yesterday to join their resident male tiger, Raja, as part of the European Endangered Species Programme (EEP). As one of the genetically valuable tigers in the programme, Lotte plays a vital role in the ongoing conservation efforts to protect this critically endangered species. Her arrival marks a significant step forward in our breeding initiatives aimed at ensuring a sustainable future for the Sumatran tiger population.

Stay tuned for updates as Lotte settles in at her new home!
