Martin is a multi-functional author writing dark fiction that strikes a chord and musical non-fiction. A self-confessed music junkie, he was commissioned to write HEARTLINE: The Authorised Biography of Robin George and WE HAD A …FUZZBOX… AND WE USED IT!!!: The Authorised Biography of FUZZBOX. Alongside forewords by Boy George, Mulligan (Fashion) and Maggie K de Monde (Swans Way, Scarlet Fantastic), he wrote the introductions to the Duran Duran En Scene Photo Book series, featuring the late Paul Edmond’s iconic images of Birmingham’s Music-Fashion-Club-Street scene (1979-1982). He has also contributed to several of APS Publications of Complete Recordings Illustrated Discographies including Black Sabbath, Duran Duran, FUZZBOX, John Lennon, George Michael and Amy Winehouse. He turned to writing books after writing songs, once being part of a duo who supported Fine Young Cannibals.
